Joyce L. Quint

A life-long resident of Oshkosh, Joyce Louise Quint, age 91, passed away Friday afternoon, June 9, 2023, at Edenbrook of Oshkosh. Joyce was the first born of five children to the late Lydia (Folske) and Edward Bauer on February 19, 1932. She married Donald Quint in St. John Catholic Church on November 27, 1954.

From her beginning at Oshkosh B’Gosh where she met her husband, Joyce became a talented seamstress, much in demand for the many dresses she made for weddings. Many family members were recipients of her uniquely designed baby quilts. Liking to try all kinds of crafts, Joyce “did it all”. Family and friends looked forward to her decorated cut-out cookies made for all holidays and events, as well as her crème puffs.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 68 years, Donald; daughter, Debra (Dennis Dorn) Tice; son, Donald “Tots” (Pattie) Quint, Jr.; grandsons: Douglas “D.J.” (Monica) Tice, and David (Ruthanne) Tice; granddaughters: Megan (Jeff) Bunke, Rachel (Adam) Schertz, and Ashton (Matt) Kotkosky; great-grandchildren: Jackson, Harrison, Adalyn, Dawson, Emma, Bronson, Avianna, Eisley, Aria, Amelia; brother, Donald (Diane) Bauer; sister, Carolyn Bauer; sister-in-law, Doris Kasarsky; brothers-in-law, Dick Demler and Tom Howe; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Agnes Ryder; brother, Edward Bauer; in-laws, John and Pauline Quint; sisters-in-law: Betty Bauer, Margaret Bauer, Joan Wilke, Audrey Demler, Donna Howe, Nancy Quint; and brothers-in-law: Ray Ryder, Bill Quint, Carl Kasarsky, Glen Wilke; and great granddaughter, Raya.

The family wishes to extend a special “Thank You” to Marcia Schmidt, wonderful neighbor who considered Joyce her “2nd Mom”, for her extra care and things she did; and to the caring staff, especially Lori Spiegelberg, for the wonderful care provided to Joyce during her short stay at Edenbrook.

The funeral service for Joyce will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 pm until time of service. Interment will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery on Monday, June 19, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
