Juley A. Pohlman

Juley Ann Pohlman nee Hoover passed away peacefully on Oct. 3, 2014 at The Waterford at Oshkosh (Century Oaks) after many years of battling numerous chronic health issues. Born in Barron, Wisconsin on February 24, 1948, she was the third of five children born to Lawrence La Verne Hoover and Dorothy Marion Peterson. Juley was baptized at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Sand Creek, Dunn County, WI, attended Hawthorne School, Boyceville, WI (built by her great grandfather) confirmed in 1962 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Laona, WI, attended Laona High School before graduating from Wabeno High School in 1966.Juley's second marriage was on June 13, 1974 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Kaukauna, WI to Keith Pohlman. Juley and Keith ventured to Tempe, AZ in 1976 where Juley was a stay at home mother raising their children. They traveled to Finland for her son Brian and Suvi's wedding in 2000. Juley and Keith retired and moved back to Wisconsin in 2005. She was very proud of all of her children and grandchildren's activities and accomplishments. Juley also enjoyed crafts, singing, and her faith in God.Juley was preceded in death by her 3 year-old brother, Loren in 1946; mother in 1954; father in 1990.Juley is survived by her husband, Keith Pohlman, Neenah, WI; sisters Dawn (Jerry) Kraczek, Muskego, WI and Susan Goodman, Alpharetta, GA; brother, David (Linda) Hoover, Arbor Vitae, WI; children Amy Thomas (James Rowley), Apex, NC; Dr. Brian Thomas (Suvi Salminen), Fuquay-Varina, NC; Craig Pohlman, Tempe, AZ; Trisha Funk (Ritchie Zander), Neenah, WI; and Brad Funk, Appleton, WI; grandchildren Brandon and Elise Rowley; Jacob and Joshua Zander; brother-in-law Don (Maxine) Pohlman and her uncle, Curtis Peterson, Menomonie, WI.Funeral service will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 140 S. Green Bay Rd., Neenah, WI with visitation at 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014. Service will be officiated at 11 a.m. by Pastor Tabitha Gallatin.Committal service and interment will be for the family on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope-Pine Creek Lutheran Church, E6698 County Highway V, Ridgeland, WI performed by Pastor Joshua Toufar.The family would like to thank the caregivers at Century Oaks, Dr. Zerrien and Rachel from Winnebago County, Janet from Lakeland Care District, and Dani from Heartland Hospice for their outstandingly kind and gentle care of Juley.
