Julia "Julie" A Morgan

April 2, 1940 — June 3, 2019

Julia (Julie) Ann Morgan, 79, of Oshkosh, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at Serenity Garden. Born in Oshkosh on April 2, 1940, Julie was the daughter of the late Harold and Josephine Elmer. On October 7, 1961, Julie married Michael Morgan at St. Josaphat Catholic Church in Oshkosh.

As a daughter of parents from the Greatest Generation, Julie embodied the idealistic American dream of a loving stay-at-home wife who devotedly supported and cared for her husband and family. Mike and Julie made many lifelong friends on their journey through their life together. Julie hosted endless holidays, birthdays, or other occasions that brought friends and family together. She would work tirelessly to provide the most delicious meals that were shared by many.

Julie deeply loved her grandchildren, Ben, Jenny, Ryan and Ella. Her greatest joy was spending time enjoying stories of their activities, accomplishments, and future plans. Julie was a dedicated lifelong fan of the Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers, and the Green Bay Packers.

Left proudly to remember Julie’s loving memory is son, Mark (Houston, TX) and daughter, Marie (Bob) Thompson (Kathleen, GA); grandchildren: Benjamin and Jennifer Morgan (Appleton, WI) and Ryan and Ellarie Thompson (Kathleen, GA). Julie is further survived by Jill (Johnson) Morgan; brother; Harold Elmer (Oshkosh, WI); Linda Elmer (Appleton, WI); special nephew, Daniel "Dan" Elmer (Appleton, WI); special niece, Katie (Matt) Juedes; brothers-in-law; Thomas (Sharon) Morgan (Savannah, GA) and Patrick Morgan (Greenfield, WI); nieces, nephews and other relatives and many friends throughout central Wisconsin. Julie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Michael Morgan, her parents, Harold and Josephine Elmer; father and mother in law, Thomas and Ellen Morgan. Julie will forever cherish her lifelong friendship with Joan Vande Hei.

The family would like to express our sincerest appreciation and thankfulness to the entire staff at Bethel Home and Serenity Garden for their enduring care, compassion, and comfort over the past 5 years.

A memorial service will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2019 at 1 PM in the chapel at Bethel Home at 225 N. Eagle Street in Oshkosh. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Julie's name may be made to Miravida Living Foundation.
