June Brownlea

June R. Brownlea, 90, of Oshkosh died Thursday September 24, 2009 at Evergreen Retirement Community-Creekview. She was born February 18, 1919 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Arthur and Ann Bartelt. June married Leonard Brownlea on December 12, 1954 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2004. June was a member of Algoma Blvd. United Methodist Church and attended several of the churchs Bible studies. Her survivors include two sons Dennis (Jean) Gerth of Pulaski and Scott (Sheryl) Brownlea of Oshkosh; three daughters Mary Lou (Richard) Genal of Suring, Phyllis Delmore of Big Bend, WI, and Tammy (Charles) Ashley of Minneapolis; a sister Doris (Harold) Heling of Oshkosh; thirteen grandchildren Eugene Genal, Ren Anderson, Kim Dunlap, Ronald Hinderman, Paul Gerth, Steven Gerth, Stephanie Cavadeas, Jason Delmore, Anthony Rezendez, Anna Parks, Arthur Brownlea, Deanna Delmore, and Michael Delmore; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter Laura and her first husband Roman Gerth. A memorial service for June will be held Friday October 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Lake View Memorial Park, Rev. Ben Peterson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will follow. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established to Evergreen Retirement Community. Junes family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff of Creekview South-Evergreen Retirement Community.
