June L Venne

June L. Venne, of Oshkosh, formerly of Milwaukee, took the hand of her Lord Jesus on Thursday March 8, 2007 at age 81. Joined her beloved late husband Earl, precious brothers, George Rosga, Jack Rosga, and sister, Evelyn Einwalter in His eternal comfort. Born to Hattie and Herman Rosga on April 29, 1926. Loving mother of Tralene (Claude)Worden, Carey (Joy)Venne, Jim (Kathie) Venne, Dan (Becky)Venne and Randy (Janet)Venne. Cherished Grandmother of Dean, Todd and Troy Johnston, Ryan (Randi)Venne and Anne (Brian), Bryan and Jennifer Venne, Luke (Brooke) Venne and Charley Venne. Proud great-grandmother of Trevor, Chelcie, Keegan, Heath, Gracie, and Allicyn. June is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family members and countless friends. June courageously fought several illnesses including cancer the last years of her life. Born in Milwaukee, June attended South Division High School and very proudly served with her husband on the South Division Improvement Committee. The New South stands as a testimony of Pride and Shoulder to Shoulder spirit June shared with all people who wanted a new and better SDHS. June was named to SDHS Wall of Fame in 1991. June was a waitress, hostess, and banquet manager at several Milwaukee restaurants, and her friendly personality rubbed off on every co-worker and customer that she served. Her greatest legacy is that she was a genuinely nice person. Always an organizer, June loved a party, picnic, or get together. She was a real people person! Junes family was always called into duty whenever it was time to reassemble for holidays, special events, or just because it was time. Her many friends were also pulled into her inner circle and included at her bequest. People just naturally gravitated to Junes smile and enthusiasm to have fun! Junes earthly wealth was her family, especially her children. She was so proud of her kids and their accomplishments. Sports, particularly Packer and Badger football, was a real enjoyment that often was shared by family and friends and included a buck wager. She always took the home team, but you could have the points. She bet with her heart, just liked she lived. That was June! Crafting, music, gardening, singing and art were also part of her full life that she shared with her beloved husband Earl. As matriarch of the Venne clan, Junes talents rubbed off on her children and grandchildren. Love of life and a wonderful faith exuded to all. There were plenty of crafts, music and art left behind at her passing, and as always was free for the taking. It was the pleasure of making them that was the real payment. Tannan and Joan Otten for their kindness and caring through the years.The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to her friends in Oshkosh: Nancy Koss, Barb Hearn, June Granger, Peggy Schneider, Pete and LaVerne Kerszten and others who were part of Junes extended family. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held in Oshkosh on Saturday May 19, 2007 at noon at Trinity Lutheran Church 370 Bowen St. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until noon. Immediate family will have a private inurnment ceremony at Ellenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
