Karen Jean Hill

Karen J. "Jeanie" Hill, 51, of Oshkosh, died on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at her home with her loving family at her side. She was born on April 12, 1958 in Oshkosh the daughter of Orville and Betty Baxter Krause. On March 29, 1975 she married Steve Hill in Oshkosh. Karen was a member of Martin Luther Lutheran Church and enjoyed photography, riding motor cycle, and spending time at the cabin in the woods. She worked at Oshkosh Safety-Way Bus Co. and then at Oshkosh Tire Co. Karen's greatest joy was being Nana to her grandchildren.Survivors include her husband, Steve; son, Jason Michael (Kristy) Hill; daughter Jennifer Lee (Jeff) Guenther; grandchildren, Sommer and Autumn Hill, Austin Newcomb, Rachel, Shawn, and Ryan Guenther; mother, Betty Krause all of Oshkosh. Also surviving are brothers, Butch (Clara) Krause of Oshkosh, Garret "Squirrel" (Deb) Krause of Omro, Daryl (Mary) Krause of Oshkosh, David (Bev) Krause of N. Fond du Lac; sister, Kathy (Rob) Deubler of Land O' Lakes.Karen was preceded in death by her father, Orville Krause.The memorial service will be on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 7:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Westside) with the Rev. Jeff Berg officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from 3:00 PM to the time of service.Karen's family would like to extend their heart felt thanks to the physicians, nurses, and staff at Aurora Medical Center for the care, support, compassion given to Karen and her family during this difficult time.
