Katherine "Katie" Marie Lofton, age 38, passed away at home after a valiant battle with cervical cancer on Sunday, October 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Katie was born on June 18, 1984, in Rockford, IL to William "Bill" Wiltzius and Joan (Johnson) Stanis. She was united in marriage to Jeremy Lofton on July 17, 2010, in Medina, WI.
She spent most of her childhood in Florence, KY and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary School. As a teenager, she moved to Oshkosh where she was on the swim team and graduated from Oshkosh West High School. Katie also studied at UW-Oshkosh. Her greatest pride was being a stay-at-home mom to her children. But her caring heart was also shared through her work as a line therapist with autistic children, as well as a home health care worker.
Katie was a very loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Her kids were her world! She was an active member of PTO at Webster Stanley School so that she could be close to her kids. Katie’s favorite activity was spending time with her husband and kids, plus she loved creating items with arts and crafts, and she enjoyed playing on her cribbage league. Katie created and banded together a group of women called the Wine Pals who ended up all her best friends becoming a family. The Wine Pals plus husbands were blessed to take a memorable trip to Jamaica last January which she cherished. Katie truly treasured every moment in life, and she made the world a better place.
Katie is survived by her Husband, Jeremy Lofton; Daughters: Ella, Elizabeth, and Julianna Lofton; Stepchildren: LeRoy and Alivia Lofton; Bonus Parents: Lane and Sheryl Albrecht; Mother: Joan Stanis; Brothers: Michael (Heidi) Wiltzius, Jeff (Stephanie) Stanis, Nick (Keyona) Wiltzius, and Christopher Vaccaro; Bonus Siblings: Marissa (Ryan) Chase and Alan Albrecht; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Katie was preceded in death by her father, William "Bill" Wiltzius.
The funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, WI. Visitation will be from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, with the memorial service beginning at 4:00pm.
