Katherine Matschnig

Katherine Borato Matschnig, age 90, went to her eternal home on Monday, May 9, 2016. She was born on November 30, 1925 to Stanley and Margaret Borato in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kay married Frank Matschnig on December 30, 1944. They had one son, Stanley. She was preceded in death by her husband and son.Kay is survived by sisters-in-law, Lois Matschnig of Oshkosh and Frieda Matschnig of Gretna, Louisiana. She has many nieces and nephews that have fond memories of fun times with Aunt Kay and Uncle Frank.Kay has many friends and will always be remembered for her hospitality, compassion, generosity and feisty personality. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.Funeral Services will be at 4:00 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Private entombment will take place at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield, Wisconsin.The excellent care given to Kay by Eden Meadows, Gabrielle Villa and Affinity Hospice is greatly appreciated.
