Kathleen O'Laughlin

Kathleen A. O’Laughlin, age 72, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was born to the late Lawrence and Mary (Flanagan) Strawhacker on October 27, 1948 in Iowa. After graduating High School, Kathy went to Iowa State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She later went on to become the senior vice president of Millennium Bank in Virginia. Kathy liked cooking and baking, and she frequently shared baskets with various individuals and charities. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit with an easy laugh. Kathy married Dennis O’Laughlin on December 19, 2018 and were together until his passing in September 2020. Kathy and Dennis were members at St. Raphael’s Parish. Kathy was a devout catholic and was very active in her church. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Kathy is survived by her brother, John Strawhacker.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kathy was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Strawhacker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Raphael’s Archangel Parish (830 S Westhaven Dr) on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021 at 3PM. Father Kevin Ripley will be officiating.
