Kathleen Retzloff

Kathleen D. Kathy Retzloff, age 79 passed away into her Lords hands on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Aurora Medical Center of Oshkosh with her family by her side. She was born on July 22, 1934 in Junction City, WI the daughter of Andrew and Viola Jansen Johnson. On September 10, 1955, she was married to the love of her life John Jack Retzloff at St. Johns Church Oshkosh, WI.Kathy graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1952 and worked at Mercy Medical Center for many years. She was a part of the Elks Ladies Lodge 292, St. Johns Ladies Society, and "The Club. Club is where she spent time once a month since 1957 with dear long time friends visiting, having lunch, and spending valuable time together. Kathy was the cheerleader and fan watching Jack play softball throughout the years, enjoyed their many road trips, and valued the many activities with their good friends. She loved and looked forward to any time with family and the grandchildren whether at their sporting events, school events, and the cottage. She especially looked forward to Christmas. She is survived by her beloved husband Jack, four sons, Mike (Cindy), Ronald (Sherri), Thomas (Laurie), and Peter (Michelle) Retzloff; seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren, seven step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Also by her brother in laws, James (Amie) Retzloff and Robert Retzloff, and sister in law Jean (Wesley) Mengert.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacks parents Viola and Elmer Retzloff; sisters Joyce (Melford) Krubsack and Jane (Keith) Binning, and sister in law Joanne Raab.A funeral service for Kathleen will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Jude the Apostle Parish St. Vincent Church (216 W South Park Ave.) with Fr. Matt Simonar and Fr. Bill Van DeKreeke officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.Memorials may be made to the Oshkosh Humane Society, Cerebral Palsy of Mideast WI, or to Necessities Bag Wisconsin.
