Kay F. Bloechl-Star

October 18, 1951 — February 3, 2015

Kay Bloechl Star, 63, of Oshkosh passed away on Tuesday, February 3rd, 2015. Surviving her death are a brother, Steven Bloechl, and a sister, Gail Armstrong, both who reside in Denver, Co. Kay was a native of Oshkosh and graduated with a B.S. in English from UW-Oshkosh in 1973. Kay was able to pursue her passion in journalism and for two years wrote human interest stories for the Fond Du Lac Reporter. Later she joined the corporate arena working for Paragon- AMF in Two Rivers, WI. She was active in her community, volunteering for the United Way and also becoming a member of the Two Rivers City Council.When a medical disability forced her retirement, Kay volunteered at Court Towers in Oshkosh, where she resided. Despite challenges in her later years, she shared her insights into life through poetry, which serves as a beautiful living legacy. Kay was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church (370 Bowen Street) where services will be held on Saturday, February 7th at 11:00 A.M officiated by Rev Kelly Leary. Memorials may be sent to Trinity Lutheran or donated to the United Way of Oshkosh.
