Kenneth A. Garbrecht, age 90, passed away at Edenbrook of Oshkosh on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Ken was born to the late Adolph and Clara (Strehlow) Garbrecht on February 8, 1931, in Peshtigo WI. Ken graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1949 then served in the US Army in Korea for 1 year. Ken then met and later married Audrey Lange on December29,1963. Ken became a salesman for Block Iron and Supply traveling all over selling tools and other hardware, eventually retiring in1996. Ken was a member of the Masonic lodge 27 in Wauwautosa and Oshkosh, eventually becoming a worshipful Master for one year before leaving the order in 1975. Ken enjoyed going camping with his family, going for walks, and especially enjoyed helping his children with their many interests and hobbies including building model rockets and model cars and other handy activities. Ken and Audrey are both active members at All Saints Lutheran Church.
Ken is survived by his loving wife, Audrey; two sons Bill (Teena) and Andrew Garbrecht; brother Tom (Pat) Garbrecht; nephew, Tom Garbrecht Junior; and niece, Amy Garbrecht.
In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Garbrecht.
A memorial service will be held for Ken at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave) on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 2 PM. Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the time of service.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to All Saints Lutheran Church.
