It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected death of Ken Averkamp, age 37 on April 24, 2025, of Oshkosh. Ken was deeply loved by all that knew him, and we are all left with shattered hearts.
Kenneth David Averkamp was born February 24, 1988, to his parents Daniel Averkamp & Tammy Peters in Oshkosh, WI.
Ken was incredibly intelligent, kind, handsome, and had a sharp wit and amazing sense of humor. He held firm and intellectual beliefs about many topics and was a joy to converse, and at times debate with. He shared the love of the Brewers & Packers with his dad, and they would often banter via text throughout most games. He was a talented artist and a connoisseur of great music.
Ken has certainly left a trail of tears in the wake of his sudden passing. He is survived by his dad and stepmom Daniel & Lisa Averkamp and his brothers Jake & Sam Averkamp of Stockbridge, WI. Also, his sister & brother Hannah & Tanner Lett of Oshkosh, WI.
Ken's maternal grandparents, Ken & Toni Bundick of Omro WI, shared a special bond with him as they were involved with much of his caretaking as a young child. Ken was immersed in his native culture by his grandmother and enjoyed many special times with his family on the Menominee reservation.
His fiancé, Alexandra Kinsella and her family will also greatly miss Ken. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
Preceding Ken in death was his mom Tammy Peters, his paternal grandparents Joseph & Donna Averkamp and a cousin, Lance Fish.
