Kenneth R. Hable

Kenneth R. Hable Sr., 76 of Oshkosh, died Tuesday November 17, 2009 at his home. He was born in Oshkosh on April 19, 1933 son of William G. and Della Ebert Hable. On May 22, 1954 he married Lois Sipple in Oshkosh. Ken was employed by Globe Printing for 40 years. He had been a co-owner of Winnebago Printing Co. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Parish. He had been a School Crossing Guard for 11 years. Ken was a founding member and president of Central Wisconsin Gun Collectors Club and he belonged to several other gun collecting clubs. He was an authority on Japanese War Relics and had many pieces of his personal collection appearing in Japanese War Relics reference books. Ken loved to spend time with his family, laughing, reminiscing and story telling.Ken is survived by his wife, Lois Hable of Oshkosh; three sons, Mark A. (Cindy) Hable of Oshkosh, Dan (Mary) Hable of Appleton, Kenneth C. (Sheryl) Hable of Oshkosh; two daughters, Diane (Roger) Martinson of Coeur d Alene, ID, and Wendee Hable of Oshkosh; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Lance) Haun of Portland, OR, Kate Martinson of Coeur d Alene, ID, Will R. Hable (special friend, Megan Rebers), Laura A. Hable, and Joseph A. Hable all of Oshkosh; a brother, Robert (Audrey) Hable of Oshkosh; and a sister, Elaine (Joe) Mueller of Oshkosh. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Hable, an infant brother, William Hable; and a grandson, Andrew T. Hable.A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted on Saturday November 21, 2009 at 11:00 AM at the St. Jude Catholic Parish - Sacred Heart Site. Inurnment will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside on Friday from 4-8 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.Memorials to the St. Jude Catholic Parish and the Oshkosh Area Humane Society have been established.
