The Lord in all his wisdom has called out of this world, the soul of Kristine Sandra Dorow, on January 23, 2008. Kristine was the youngest child of Franklin F. Dorow and Anna M. Giebel Dorow. She was born August 18, 1949 in Oshkosh. Kris graduated from Oshkosh High in 1967 and UW-O in 1973 with a liberal arts degree. She was baptized on September 4, 1949 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was a lifelong member. Kris loved animals, especially her feline animal companions, Gus and Willie, who shared her life for almost fourteen years. She enjoyed the squirrels and Canada geese that populated the small meadow next to her apartment, and the Blue Jay that ate nuts from her deck railing.Kris also enjoyed her small potted garden that she planted each spring on her deck. She loved reading, old movies from the black and white era, painting, and exploring her familys history. For many years she worked in a variety of positions at the Shopko Store in Oshkosh, until she became too ill to continue working. Friends that she made there, helped support her in her long term battle with Lymphoma. This was a battle she fought hard, but as in all things, eventually had to surrender to the will of God.She joins both parents, her older sister, Beatrice Werner, brother-in-law, Fritz Werner, and sister-in-law, Nancy Dorow in the Kingdom of Heaven. She is survived by one sister, Audrey (Guy) Fenrich, sister-in-law, Susan Dorow, all of Oshkosh, two brothers, Earl Dorow of Philips, WI, and Richard (Diane) Doro of Haymarket, VA, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three God-children, Miranda Luttrell, Sarah Hinterberger, and Kevin Stieg, and two incredible nieces, who shared a special place in her heart. They were nieces, sisters, friends and care-givers, who often put their own lives on hold to care for Kris. With all her heart she thanked God for them, Kathie Luttrell and Patti Stieg.Kriss memorial service will be Saturday January 26, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church with the Rev.
