Larry Vernon Klabunde

Larry V. Klabunde, 63, of Oshkosh died on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on August 12, 1947 in Stevens Point the son of Vernon and Evelyn Nidy Klabunde. Larry married Marilyn Rickert on November 10 1973. Larry was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Pickett. He farmed his entire life in the Town of Nekimi, he especially loved working in the field with his son and was very proud to pass his knowledge onto him. He drove truck for Hanfeld Brothers and drove milk truck for Elenor German for many years. Larry served in the Army from 1969 to 1975 serving in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971. He loved having family and friends over for special occasions and loved to play cards, 31 was his game.Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Klabunde; son, Thomas (special friend Krissy Nigl) Klabunde; father, Vernon Klabunde; sister, Carol Klabunde; brothers, Emil (Wendy) Klabunde, and Robert (Sandy) Klabunde all of Oshkosh. Also surviving are his brother-in-law, Ray (Linda) Rickert, of Hilbert; sister-in-law, Gail Klabunde of Oshkosh; nieces and nephews, Tim (Angie) Klabunde, Melissa (Bob Friday) Klabunde, Beth Bullock, Christopher Bullock, Christal Rickert, Donald Klabunde and Darin (Rae) Rickert.Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn; mother-in-law, Delores (Albrecht) Rickert; brother, John Klabunde; and father-in-law, Raymond Rickert.The funeral service will be on Thursday, April 28, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, Pickett with the Rev. Jud Krohn officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home -Westside on Wednesday from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Burial will be in Liberty Prairie Cemetery, Pickett. A special thank you to those at Mercy Medical Center, Dr. Curtis Radford and Dr. Karen Gremminger for their care over the past four years. Thanks to the fifth floor sub acute nursing staff for his recent care and the staff at Mercy Medical Outpatient Surgery center the Spa for their weekly care of Larry
