Larry W. Block

Lawrence “Larry” Wayne Block, age 67, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Theda Care Regional Medical Center-Appleton. He was born October 5, 1950 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Conrad and Marion (Janowski) Block. He graduated from Oshkosh West High School in 1968 and then went on to serve in the US Army. He worked at Mercury Marine and Medalist Industries until the plant was sold and later closed. Larry enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, biking, and fishing with his sons, family and friends.
He is survived by his mother, Marion Block, his sons, Jason (Amy ), and Michael; their mother, Claudia Block; grandson, Austin Block, brothers, David (Charlene) Block, Gary (Linda) Block, Dennis Block, and Randy (Joanne) Block.
He was preceded in death by his father, Conrad; sister, Dawn Block; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Konrad-Behlman (Westside) Funeral Home, 100 Lake Pointe Drive. The service will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Nancy Taylor officiating.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
In the end, Larry was a quiet man with a unique sense of humor.
