Larue Jeanette Blaske

LaRue J. Blaske, 87, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday Oct. 14, 2008 at Aurora Medical Center. She was born September 19, 1921 in Poygan, Wisconsin a daughter of Charles and Pearl Robins Hammond. On August 18, 1946 she married Gilbert Blaske in Oshkosh. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, was an avid reader, loved flowers, enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and taking care of Gilbert. In her younger days she worked as an aide at the hospital and then the Wig Wam.She is survived by her husband, Gilbert, one son Terry(Sally) Blaske, one daughter Diane Stecker all of Oshkosh, five grandchildren Tim Blaske, Rob Blaske, Adriane(Eric) Sparr all of Oshkosh, Courtney(Rich) Hall of South Elgin, IL., Collin Stecker of Madison, one brother John(Arlene) Hammond of Redding, Ca., one sister Virginia Foote of Oshkosh, and one sister-in-law of Betty Jo Hammond of Winneconne.She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Don Hammond and one brother-in-law Don Foote.Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 18, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside with Rev. Eric Quinney-Burnard officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park.The family would like to thank the staff at Aurora Medical Center ICU
