Lawrence Edward Pfaffenroth was born December 31, 1926, to John and Katherine Pfaffenroth in Utica township of Winnebago, Wisconsin and was welcomed home to heaven on May 30, 2023.
He received his education at Hawley School and graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1941. After graduation he farmed with his father and brother Sam until 1963 when he bought the family farm. He was a good steward of his dairy farm until 1973 when he became a Winnebago County Farm Bureau insurance agent, retiring in 1990. He actively served the Lord and others through his church, insurance company and Lions Club. He always enjoyed visiting with family and friends while enjoying a good cup of coffee, cookies and ice cream.
He married Nadine Lee Hoffman in 1963 and became Dad to Sandra and Dwayne Hoffman. Nadine passed away in 1987. In 1990 he married Dorothy Hassler. Dorothy passed away in 2021.
He is predeceased by his parents, wives, son-in-law Roger Strom, granddaughter Jennifer Strom Williams; brothers John Jr., Albert and David; sisters Margaret Daubert, Lydia Luft, Ruth Haffner, Catherine Irmer, Eleanore Dahmer, Dorothy Stuhlmacher, Lorraine Pfaffenroth and Mary Ann Glaze.
He is survived by his daughter Sandra Strom and her children and grandchildren: Kristen (Bryan) Holland and Gia, Steve Williams and Eleah and Lianna, Layton (Amy) Strom and Marina, Cameron, and Talia;
his son Dwayne Hoffman and his children and grandchildren: Andrea Graham and Cody and Zac, Christopher Hoffman and Ashley, Iian and Bryce; his sister Irene (Don) Ruhl, his brother Sam (Delpha) Pfaffenroth, his brother-in-law David Glaze and many beloved nieces and nephews. Also survived by his stepson and stepdaughter, John (Brenda) Hassler and Jill (Matt) Vaughn and their families.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 338 N Eagle Street, Oshkosh with Rev. Dorn officiating. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. He will be laid to rest at Liberty Prairie Cemetery in Pickett.
