Leona Hazel Zillges

Leona H. Zillges, age 90, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at her residence in Oshkosh. She was born on March 3, 1931, in Waupaca to the late Leonard and Virginia (Jewson) Stenson.

Leona was one that was full of life up until the end. She loved shopping, cooking her own meals, going for rides, and playing cribbage. She loved her family and never missed a holiday or birthday celebration. Even when she had a hard time walking from arthritis, she always replied "I'm Good, I can do it" when you tried to help her. Leona was very strong willed and determined, a great example of independence and strength to us all. She will be missed dearly by all of us but will forever live on in our hearts.

Leona is survived by her daughters: Nancy (Gary) Drebus, Jody (Jed) Martin; seven grandchildren: Kymberly Drebus, Laura (John) Kearny, Ashley (Thomas) Leonard, Taylor Martin, Reed (Abby) Martin, Jason (Rebecca) Zillges, Sarrah (Kris) Larson; and seven great grandchildren: Jorden Drebus, Macallan Kearny, Liam, Eliana and Alden Leonard, and Hadley and Lambeau Zillges. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Zillges, two sons: Duane and Dennis Zillges; and two brothers and a sister.

Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at Lake View Memorial Park.
