Leona Josephine Pertmer

Leona Lonnie Pertmer passed away peacefully in her home on November 29, 2016 at the age of 101, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born to Jordan Reischl and Elizabeth Nebl Reischl Kaupp on November 27, 1915. From an early age, Leona was raised by her Aunt and Uncle, Anna Haubrick and Dr. Hubert Haubrick. Leona married Anthony Tony Pertmer on October 23, 1937. Lonnie and Tony owned and operated the Pertmer Fur Farm for many years, working side by side. Leona was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Parish for 79 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony, their infant son, Anthony Jr., and her sister Elizabeth Betty Holsworth Sauer.Leona is survived by her daughter Joan (Bruce) Donner of Oshkosh, and her only granddaughter Sarah Donner, also of Oshkosh. She is further survived by her daughter Jean (Clay) Parsons of Fond du Lac, and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service for Leona will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at St. Jude the Apostle Parish- Sacred Heart (519 Knapp St.) with Fr. Matt Simonar officiating. Visitation will be held at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to especially thank the caregivers who have helped Joans family care for Leona over the past year and a half. We could not have done it without you.
