Leona Myrtle Lillian Rand

Leona M. L. Rand, 103 of Oshkosh, died at Oakwood Manor on Sunday December 30, 2007. She was born in Oshkosh on May 14, 1904 a daughter of Albert and Esther Hamscher Pokrandt. She married Floyd Alfred Rand on June 7, 1924, in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1932.Leona had been employed at Oshkosh BGosh for over 38 years. She was a member of First English Lutheran Church, the Dorcas Circle at church, formerly taught Sunday school and belonged to a camera club.Survivors include one son, Rev. Howard (Lillian) Rand, Minnetonka, MN; one daughter, Carol (Kermit) Wuethrich, Appleton; six grandchildren, Timothy Rand, Minneapolis, MN; Thomas (Siw Lea) Rand, Boise, ID; Wendy (Dan) Kierstead, Oshkosh; Terry Wuethrich, Appleton; Carol (Rob Avery) Rand, Morton Grove, IL; and Terese (Patrick) Bridges, Albuquerque, NM; twelve great grandchildren, Christopher Wuethrich, Beth Ann Wuethrich, Heather Wuethrich, Sean Wuethrich, Kelsea Kierstead, Korbin Kierstead, Quinnlan Kierstead, Kipling Rand, Devin Rand, Tace Rand, Will Bridges and Elena Bridges. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lester and Clifford Pokrandt; and one grandson, Mark Wuethrich.Funeral services will be held at First English Lutheran Church on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Timothy Greenwald officiating. Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Interment will be at Peace Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
