Leroy Emil Grancorbitz

LeRoy E. Granny Grancorbitz, age 92, of Oshkosh, died Tuesday March 18, 2014 at Park View Health Center. He was born on February 20, 1922 in Weyauwega a son of Leo and Elsie Prahl Grancorbitz. On December 1, 1945 he married Arleen Paap.He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was the owner/operator of many successful businesss which included Grannys Grocery, Grannys Distributing Company, and also a nightclub named The Rail, Grannys and Scarlett OHaras. He enjoyed bowling, square dancing, playing cards, watching the Packers, and taking a ride through the park.He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Arleen, one daughter Jane(Bernie) Gonzales, two grandchildren Craig(Denise) Gonzales, Cristin Gonzales, three great-grandchildren Trevor Daniels, Josh Gonzales, and Kierra Gonzales all of Oshkosh, two sisters Ramona Haight of Manawa, Shirley(Tony) Opperman of Hobesound, FL., other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Larry Grancorbitz, two brothers Melvin and Harold, two sisters Virginia and Delores.Funeral services for LeRoy will be held on Monday March 24, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Monday at church from 4 p.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Lake View Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.The family would like to thank the staff at Park View Health Center.
