On October 13, 2024, Lila Jean (Balza) Boucher, a cherished mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister, peacefully departed this world to reunite with her Lord and Savior at the age of 91.
Lila graduated from high school and began her career as a teacher in Green Bay before getting married and dedicating herself to raising her five beloved children. She was known for her gentle strength, quiet spirit, and unwavering kindness, leaving a profound impact on everyone she met. In her leisure time, Lila found joy in reading, writing, puzzles, and enjoying Hallmark movies paired with her favorite dessert-ice cream. She was an active member of her church, participating in Bible studies and serving on the prayer team. Lila also volunteered at the Oshkosh Public Library, helping others enhance their reading and communication skills. A highlight of her later years was fulfilling her lifelong dream of visiting England to meet her pen pal of 47 years.
Lila is survived by her loving children: Mike (Laura) Boucher, Kathy (David) Hansen, Paul (Kelly) Boucher, Jeff (April) Boucher, and Scott (Mary) Boucher. She leaves behind a legacy of grandchildren: Jennifer (Mike) Sittig, C.J. (Candice) Hansen, Nick Boucher, Rachel Hansen, Paul (Lexy) Sittig, Jared (Michelle) Boucher, James (Michayla) Hansen, Caitlin (Dylan) Boucher, Josiah Boucher, Victoria Boucher, and preceded in death by Heidi Boucher. Lila also had many treasured great-grandchildren.
