Linda K. Regal, age 73, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, shortly after the passing of her niece Christine Christensen. Her sister-in-law Christine Misterek passed away shortly after. She was born in Oshkosh on August 19, 1949, to the late Gustave and Marie “Honey” (Winter) Misterek.
Linda worked as a pharmacy technician at Desnick’s Drug Store in St. Paul, MN, owned by David Regal. Linda and David fell in love, got married, raised two children and her stepchildren, and successfully operated the drug store together. For a short period, they raised her son Christopher and stepchildren and 17 years, their daughter Jessica. Linda lived in different parts of the United States with family. Linda was a talented artist who had a knack for painting. She spent many years in Albuquerque, New Mexico which inspired a lot of her art. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed listening to music, especially jazz. She loved talking on the phone frequently with her family and friends. Linda’s most proud title was “caretaker”. She lived to help take care of others. Linda cared for her grandchildren, neighbors, friends, children, her aunt, Esther Stryzewski and her mother, Marie Misterek.
Linda is survived by her children: Christopher Malnory, Jessica Regal; stepchildren: Mark Regal, John Regal, Trish Regal, Sue Regal West; grandchildren: Madison Malnory, Colin Malnory, and Aiden Regal; step grandchildren: Katie Regal, Samantha West, Hannah West, Allison West; brother, David Misterek; sisters: Sheri Bobinski and Nancy Brunton; aunt, Esther Stryzewski; and many nieces and nephews. She was further preceded in death by her former spouses Richard Malnory and David Regal both in the summer of 2011 and her sister, Donna Slattery who passed many years before her.
There will be no service. Her family will be mourning privately.
