Linda L. Fischer

Linda L. Fischer, age 81, passed away with her family by her side on Saturday, April 29, 2023. She was born to the late Icle and Nervina (Arnold) Dobey on September 26, 1941, in Scottville, IL.

After moving to Kansas with her family at 8 years old. She married Ronald Fischer in 1960. Together they had five children. They moved from Kansas to Oklahoma and later to Wisconsin where she never left. Linda and her children moved into a large 5-bedroom house with her sister, Freda, where her and her children would continue to stay for many years. In 1979, Linda became an AODA counsellor which was her career that made her the proudest. She worked at NOVA Counselling for 27 years until she retired. Linda loved the Green Bay Packers and one of her fondest memories was having her retirement party at Lambeau Field.

Linda is survived by her four daughters, Tammy (Kevin) Lawler, Janice Malnory, Ronda (Jeff Haleen) Richards, Melissa (Thomas) Christensen; grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsey, Brad, Kristi, Kaity, Aaron, Ben, Grace, Madeline, Lily; great-grandchildren, Brianna, Alexis, Alyvia, Rylin, Maddison, Jameson, Kaysen, and Oliver. Linda is further survived by her special dog, Max.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her infant son, Ronald Jr., grandson, Thomas Richards; stepfather, Orlo Zimmermann; and sisters, Doris, Freda, and Harriet.

A funeral service for Linda will be held at Christ Our Saviors Lutheran Church, on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 1PM. A time of visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service
