Linda Lee Quimby

June 11, 1948 — March 13, 2010

If you are reading this it is because I have lost my battle with cancer on March 13, 2010. My name is Linda Lee Quimby and I was born in Oshkosh on June 11, 1948 to Jack and Arlene Quimby, the greatest parents one could ever hope for. I have a wonderful older sister, Judy Lurvey, and a wonderful brother-in-law Greg Lurvey. I have been truly blessed during my lifetime with working at Gibson Motors of which I have many fond memories, 20 years at the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Oshkosh where friends became family. The last 7 years I have had the privilege of working for Northpoint Medical and Rehabilitation Center where my fellow employees have taught me the true meaning of giving, caring and true friendship, for which I thank them. I am leaving behind the greatest little dog ever created, Rusty, my fantastic mother, sister and brother-in-law Judy and Greg Lurvey of Neshkoro, whom I will love forever. Two wonderful nephews who allowed me to share their lives, Jeff(Sue) Lurvey and their daughters Stasya and Sadira of Endeavor, Wi., and Daniel(Wendy) Lurvey and their sons Joshua and Benjamin of Lake Jackson, TX. This is the last time I will be able to say goodbye to all my friends and family and may God bless all of you. I am also survived by three wonderful cousins. I need to thank four special friends who have been there for me during this ordeal, Kathy, Bill, Laura, and Julie. You will never know how much your support has meant to me.A celebration of my life will be held on Wednesday March 17, 2010 at 11 a.m at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside with Rev. Roger Riedel of Peace Lutheran Church of Wautoma officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery.A memorial to benefit the Oshkosh Humane Society has been established..Special thanks to Dr. Zahid Dar, the wonderful staff at the Vince Lombardi Clinic, my caring caring chemo nurses at Aurora, and the wonderful hospice people, Jess, Nikki, Tammy, Shelly, and Erica. Jason your precious care and support was invaluable.Even though I am leaving this world sooner than I would like, I want for nothing. Few have been as blessed as I with wonderful memories and experiences I am taking with me.
