Lois E. Martens

Lois E. Martens, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at The Residence of Oshkosh. She was born to the late Edward and Clara (Derr) Jentz on January 18, 1936, in Edmund, WI. Lois grew up on the family dairy farm. She later went on to college to graduate with a B.A in Business. She lived in Gurnee, IL for a number of years before moving back to Platteville, where she met Richard Martens. Lois and Richard married in Platteville on August 4, 1972. Lois worked as a Computer Teacher at Oshkosh Correctional Institution. She and Richard took many tours on the Gold Star Bus Tours all over the United States. Lois was an amazing baker and made the best bread. She also enjoyed crocheting, knitting quilting, and sewing.
Lois is survived by her husband, Richard; children, Molana Brewer, Loranda (John) Kimple, Warren (Amber) Brewer, and Gina (Jose) Perez; grandchildren, Sean (Courtney) and Catherine O’Connor, Lauren Brewer, Thomas Addison, Teresa (Dusty) LaPorte, Sebastian and Gabriel Perez; great-grandchildren Rory, Emmett, Charlie, and Lincoln; as well as siblings, Charles (Darlene) Jentz and Geraldine Morris.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey Wilkinson.
A service for Lois will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave) on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 11AM. a visitation will be held from 10 AM until the time of service.
