Lois Fay Kaspar

March 17, 1930 — March 27, 2014

Lois Fay Kaspar went to the loving arms of her Savior on March 27th, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Oshkosh on March 17, 1930, the daughter of Roy and Emma Gabrielson. She was baptized at Peace Lutheran Church on May 4, 1930 and confirmed on April 18, 1943. On May 16, 1952, she was united in marriage to Milton L. Kaspar.She was employed for many years at Mondls in Oshkosh. She volunteered many years at Grace Lutheran Church, Oshkosh in the school library and was also a member of Grace Circle. She enjoyed working with the group at church that prepared meals for funerals. She also enjoyed preparing meals for her family and was well known for her cookie baking. One of her favorite pastimes was fishing with family and friends. She had a very special place in her heart for her cats.She is survived by her son Mark (Twila) Kaspar of Oshkosh, and their children Jennifer Kaspar (special friend Al Foss); Rachael Kaspar (special friend Adam Bellmer); Luke (Alyssa) Kaspar and their children Riley, Aiden, and Grace. Her daughter Susan (Brian) Petrie of Fond du Lac, and their children Tim, Laura and Lisa (fianc John Gregorius).She is also survived by her brother Roy Bud Gabrielson and his wife Barb and their children Dan (Cheryl) Gabrielson, Ken (Brenda) Gabrielson and Jill (Dave) Wheeler. Her sister Arlette (Marlin) Schmude and their children Kurt (Laurie) Schmude, Tom (Kathy) Schmude, Bob (Monica) Schmude and Russ (Stacy) Schmude. Her sister-in-law Rogene Gabrielson and her children Lori (Sam) Wuest and Daren (fiance Li Song) Gabrielson. Her sister-in-law Beverly Bahr and her children Gary (Lyn) Bahr and Steve (Kim) Bahr; and many close dear friends.She was preceded in death by her daughter Tina, her parents and her husband Milton. Also preceding her in death were her brother-in-law Alan Bahr and her brother Lyle Gabrielson.She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandma and will be dearly missed by those whose lives she touched.A memorial service for Lois will be held Tuesday April 1, at 1:00 pm, at Grace Lutheran Church, Rev. Chadwick Graham officiating, with a visitation prior at the church from noon until service. An additional visitation will take place the night prior on Monday, March 31, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, from 4 pm until 7 pm. Inurnment will be in Peace Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran School or the Oshkosh Humane Society. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the caring staff at Mercy Medical Center.
