Lois Jean Johnson

Lois J. Johnson, 88, of Oshkosh died Thursday March 7, 2013, at Park View Health Center. She was born October 23, 1924 in Oshkosh the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Voss) Treise.Lois had worked at Winnebago Mental Health Institute for 20 years. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church where she was formerly on the Worship & Music Committee, choir, the Altar Guild, and was the childrens choir director at Christ Lutheran Church for 20 years. She was on the Winnebago Credit Union Board for 18 years and was former chairman, secretary for the County Association of Credit Unions, and volunteered at the Grand Opera House and Convention Bureau.Lois is survived by a son, V. Alan Johnson of Oshkosh; three grandchildren, Kathi K. (Peter) Koenig of Milwaukee, Anita Melissa (Jeff) Byrne of Appleton and Daniel A.(Christina) Johnson of Eden Prairie, MN and two great-grandchildren, Ashley Byrne and Gavin Johnson; one brother, Robert Treise of Alton, IL and a sister-in-law Lois Triese of Redgranite. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Triese, brother, Harold Treise and a sister-in-law, June Triese.A funeral service for Lois will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at St. Johns Lutheran Church (808 N. Main St.), Rev. Karen Jewell officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 4 8 p.m. at the Konrad-Behlman funeral Home Eastside and again at church on Tuesday from 12:30 p.m. to the service time. Entombment will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial is being established to St. Johns Lutheran Church.Lois family would like to thank the staff at Park View Health Center for all the care they have given.
