Lois Koplitz

Lois A. Koplitz, 75 of Oshkosh, died Wednesday December 5, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Appleton, WI on December 19, 1931 the daughter of Ernest and Margaret Rettler Whitefoot. On November 17, 1951 she married Gordon J. Koplitz. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2004. Lois worked the farm with her husband in the Town of Nekimi. She was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ.She is survived by a daughter, Laurie (Brian) Bradley, four sons, Wesley (Marcia) Koplitz, Wendell (Kathy) Koplitz, Arlyn (Sue) Koplitz, and Merlin Koplitz, six grandchildren, Samuel Koplitz, Amy Villavicencio, Erin Schroeder, Lee Bradley, Becky Bradley, and Justin Bradley, two great grandchildren, Shiloh Jones, and Shawn Villavincencio, nieces, Pat (Richard) Peapenburg, and Carol (Leslie) Kufhal, nephews, Larry (Mary) Fenske, and Jack Fenske. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Lucille Fenske, a brother/in/law, Herman Fenske, and a nephew, Raymond Fenske.Funeral service for Lois will be Saturday December 8, 2007 at 6:30 PM at the Bethany United Church of Christ with the Rev. Kevin Mundell officiating. Burial will be in the Scheller Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 3:30 PM until the time of the funeral. A memorial to the church has been established. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Mercy Medical Center, Dr. Ringwala and her staff, the Nekimi First Responders and the Oshkosh Paramedics for the care they gave their mother.
