Lois M. Blitz

Lois M. Blitz (nee Blair), age 87, of Oshkosh, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born on April 5, 1928 in Oshkosh, to the late James W. and Bessie M. (Lind) Blair. Lois was married to George A. Blitz on September 19, 1953 at St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church.Lois was a lifelong member at St. Johns and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a graduate of Oshkosh High School and was a claims department administrator at Wisconsin National Life Insurance Company for 40 years.Lois is survived by her sister in law: Barbara A. Blair of West Bend; special nephews: Rob (Linda) Blair of Jackson, Rich (Lisa) Blair of Slinger, and Steve (Sandy) Youngson of Virginia. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces.She was preceded in death by her parents: James and Bessie Blair; husband: George A. Blitz; brother: Richard E. Blair; and brothers and sisters in law: Letha (Ronald) Youngson, Evelyn (Howard) Nelson, and Eileen (Edgar) Nelson.There will be a memorial service held for Lois at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes- (Eastside) with Rev. Jennifer Czarnota officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.Loiss family wishes to thank Dr. Albert Fisher and his staff; all of the medical personnel who cared for her at Mercy Medical Center and Eden Meadows; and, the therapists who came to her home over the past months. Special thanks to her good friends and caregivers Carol Luebke, Sue Wenzlaff, and Lyn Kuzdas who all made such a difference in her life these past years.In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established to St. Johns Ev. Lutheran Church.
