Lois Marie (Schultz) Luebke passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, just moments after hearing the angelic voices of Christmas carolers at Evergreen Retirement Community in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Lois was born on March 19, 1930 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to Otto H. Schultz and Mathilda (Wendt) Schultz. She married William Bill Junior Luebke on August 20, 1949, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, and was a devoted and loving wife for 58 years until Bills passing in 2008. Lois enjoyed working with Bill at Luebke Nursery which they operated at their home in Oshkosh, managing the business while Bill managed the trees. She also worked at Mercy Medical Center as a staff assistant, and was a beautician for many years - her talent as a beautician was always evident in her perfect, beautiful hair! Lois was also a proud honorary graduate of Oshkosh North High School, Class of 2015 fulfilling her lifetime goal to receive her high school diploma. Lois was a proud mom, grandma, and great-grandma to a large and loving family. She enjoyed spending as much time with her family and friends as she could, including get-togethers for Sheepshead, cribbage, and kitchen poker. She loved to travel, especially to Alaska to visit family. She was active in the Church Guild of Martin Luther Evangelical Church in Oshkosh, for many years, and was guided by her unshakeable faith in Jesus Christ.Lois is survived by her four children: Robert Luebke of Oshkosh; James (Jan) Luebke of Kaukauna; Linda (Daniel) Mingus of Wild Rose; and Lori (Robert) Hanson of Greenville. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Heather (Carol) Munroe of Milwaukee; Christopher (Kathryn) Luebke of Cudahy, Wis.; Barbara (Erik) Hopfensperger of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; Brian (Amy) Luebke of Fox Crossing; Sarah (Jeremy) Vanderhyde of Menasha; Tyler (Hayden) Matz of Davie, Fl.; Caytlen Mingus of Oshkosh; Courtney Mingus of Wauwatosa, Wis.; Nicole Toetz of Stevens Point; and Megan Toetz of Stevens Point; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Eldor Schultz, and her husband, Bill. The funeral service for Lois will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1526 Algoma Boulevard, Oshkosh, with Rev. Jeff Berg and Rev. Nathan Ericson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park in Oshkosh.In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Martin Luther Evangelical Lutheran Church and School and Evergreen Retirement Community. Lois family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Evergreen Retirement Community for their endless care and compassion.
