Lorraine Fernau

Lorraine “Pat” Fernau, age 92, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Park View Health Center. She was born on June 23, 1929 in Oshkosh to Carl and Genevieve (Tabalske) Koelbl. On October 16, 1948 she married Charles Fernau.

In the beginning of her marriage she worked on the family farm. She later was employed as a Secretary/ Clerk for the T.C. Esser Company, and then at Burgert Paint and Glass in the same capacity. Upon her retirement from Burgerts she assumed the bookkeeping duties at Fernau’s Greenhouse Inc, a job she held for many years until she became a resident at Park View. 

She is survived and will be greatly missed by sons Robert of Oshkosh, Richard (Lana Angle) of Rush Lake, and beloved grandchildren Bailey Fernau and Josh Fernau, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Charles, both of her parents, twin sister Loretta Schultz, sister-in-law Marion Hoffmann, and brother-in-law’s Eldor Schultz and Kenneth Hoffmann. 

She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (402 Waugoo) from 5pm to 7:30pm. A memorial has been established. 

Our family would like to acknowledge that we will always be indebted to the staff at Park View Health Center for the great and compassionate care our mother received during her stay there. Thank you.
