Lorraine G Hergert

Lorraine G. Hergert, 87, of Oshkosh, died on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Mercy Medical Center. Lorraine was born on September 23, 1923 in Manawa, WI, a daughter of the late Frank and Martha Dretke-Schefelker. She married Lawrence E. Hergert on August 25, 1945 in Manawa at St. Pauls Lutheran Church.Lorraine was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Oshkosh, had worked as a beautician at many beauty shops and enjoyed ceramics, reading, shopping, casino trips with her husband to play the slots, and flower gardening. She had a special love for potentillas.Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Lawrence of Oshkosh; her son Gregory Hergert of Oshkosh; one brother, Everett (Rita) Schefelker of Manawa; one sister, Margaret (Kenneth) Fahser of Manawa; a sister-in-law, Ruth Schefelker of Manawa and four grandchildren, Matthew (Jeanne) Hergert, Luke Hergert, Kerri Hergert and Nicholas Hergert. Along with her parents Lorraine was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Schefelker.Funeral services for Lorraine will be held on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church (400 N Sawyer Street, Oshkosh) with Rev. Jeffrey Knoll officiating. Visitation will be at the church from noon to the hour of service. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park. Memorials in Lorraines name to the Zion Lutheran Food Pantry (mailed to 400 N Sawyer Street, Oshkosh, WI 54902) would be appreciated.
