Lowell Thorpe Hager

Lowell T. Hager, 82, of Shawano, Wis. died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center, Appleton, Wis.He was born August, 18, 1927, in Oshkosh, Wis., the son of Willard and Grace Hager. After serving in the United States Navy, he married Jeanette Schmidt on Feb. 3, 1950. Together they made their home in West Chicago, IL where they raised their four children.Lowell was a 50 year member of the Masonic Temple, a member of the Medinah Shriners and The American Legion Post 300. After retiring from the Midwest Operating Engineers Local 150 in 1989, he and his wife, Jeanette, enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed a good game of golf.Lowell is survived by his four children, Lowell, Jr. (Laura) Hager, Peggy (Del) Ward, Tim (Cindy) Hager, and Gracie Lueken; five grandchildren, Kristi (Jeff) Mansfield, Jay (Amanda) Hager, Allan (Kay) Hager, Curtis Hager, and Samantha Lueken; his granddaughter-in-law, Phyllis (Doug Brauer) Domena; and 6 great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Domena, Spencer Brauer, Katelyn and Jacob Hager, Mabel Hager, and Addison Mansfield; his sister, Nancy (Jim) Conradt; and his brother, Bill (Mary) Hager. In addition to his parents, Lowell is preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Fred and Dorothy Schmidt; his brother, Neal; his son-in-law, Ivan Domena; his grandson, Bobby Domena; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Duane and Jackie Schmidt; and his brother-in-law, Marvin Lind.Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 19, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, Wis. The funeral will follow immediately. Burial will be at Lake View Memorial Park
