Lutz D. Riegert

Lutz D. Riegert, age 77 of Oshkosh, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Ascension Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Germany to Hella Burkholtz. Lutz married Kathleen Bretl on July 5, 1969 in Rhinelander and their marriage was blessed with two daughters. He worked as an accountant for the State of Wisconsin.
Lutz and his family attended Most Blessed Sacrament Parish- St. Peter site. In his early years, he enjoyed fishing, boating, and playing winter sports. He was a Packers fan, he liked watching movies with family, playing ping pong, visiting the Northwoods, and was a doting “Bumpa” to his grandchildren. His trademark “stamp of approval” was left on every greeting card envelope to his family.
He is survived by his father, Don Riegert; his wife, Kathleen Riegert; his children, Michele (Brad) Hawley and Missy (Eric) Billmeier; grandchildren, Liza, Ella and Josh Hawley; brother-in-law, Jim (Jackie) Bretl.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Hella Riegert.
A private memorial service will take place.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association or the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.

God saw him getting tired,
