Lyle E. Rose, 78, passed away the morning of September 8, 2012, peacefully at Webster Manor Assisted Living in Omro. Lyle was born May 27, 1934 in Antigo, WI to the late Ernest and Ruth (Clay) Rose. After graduating from school and serving time in the Army, he and his wife Marilyn made their home in Oshkosh where they raised three beautiful daughters. He made a career at Rockwell International for 30 years and was a proud member of Local 291. After retirement he worked for K&D (satisfying his love for fixing things). His greatest joys were bowling in his early years, gardening, traveling, driving school bus, genealogy, trips to the casino, his many trips to Washington and Illinois to watch his grandson Tyler, and many great games of cribbage with his granddaughter Amanda. Lyle loved reading books about the presidents and their history - there wasnt a question he couldnt answer! Lyle was a great father, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone who knew him. He was always there to lend a helping hand when someone needed him, whether it was painting, fixing something, or babysitting (thanks, dad, for all the times you helped me - Gloria). Left to mourn his passing are his three daughters: Dawn (Dennis Troxell) Rose of Oshkosh, Gloria (Jon Gafner) Gray of Winneconne, and Vicki (Don) Van Deurzen of Little Chute; two grandchildren: Amanda Verbrick of Madison and Tyler Gray of Zionsville, Indiana; two sisters: Marceline (Oscar) Wolfgram and Pauline Kleveno; and a brother, Jim (Ginny) Rose Jr as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Ruth Rose; sisters, Marceda Wright, Bernice June Mutche and Elfreda Freda Hellwig; Marilyn Rose; Rick Hazen; son-in-law David Verbrick; and a few brothers in law. A funeral service for Lyle will be held Tuesday Sept. 11, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside, Chaplain Karen Ingvoldstad officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 3:30 p.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established. Dad I will miss you so very much, you have been a great father to me, you were always there for me when I needed you. I will miss you so much and please wait for me at the gates to heaven. I love you so much and will miss you everyday. I will miss hearing you say to me love you too honey miss you so much already Love Gloria. I would like to thank everyone at Webster Manor, especially Lynn, who was always there for me, Heartland Hospice and my friends who helped me through this journey. Dad I love you and will miss you very much. Love Dawn.
