Lyle Louis Beck

Lyle Louis Beck, 97, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on January 25, 1919, in the Town of Rushford, to Louis and Jennie (Loker) Beck. He married Ella Mae E. Langenfeld on April 15, 1941. Lyle grew up and farmed in the Town of Algoma where he raised registered Holsteins. Later he switched to beef and cash crops. In 2000 Lyle moved to Oshkosh. He was the sexton for Ellenwood Cemetery for 29 years and a member of Peace Lutheran Church.Lyle is survived by his wife, Ella Mae; brothers, Howard (Jane) Beck, Russell Beck and Armond Beck; brother-in-law, N.A Sawall; sister-in-law, Phylis and Jean Beck; many nieces and nephews.Lyle was preceded in death by his brothers, Budd, Earl (Betty) and Wayne Beck; sisters, Arlene Sawall and Thelma (Roman) Schmitz; sisters-in-law, Lorraine and Marion Beck.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Drive, Oshkosh, with Rev. John Worzala-Dumke officiating. Interment will follow in Ellenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.Lyles family would like to express a special thank you to the staffs at Affinity Hospice, Eden Meadows, Mercy Medical Center and Peace Lutheran Church, for their compassionate care and kindness.
