Fulcher, Marilyn (nee Brismaster)Lynn Fulcher (Mrs. R.B.) age 92, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 27, 2014 surrounded by her family and friends, who were singing her favorite hymns. She was a native of Oshkosh and after graduating from the University of Wisconsin Madison, with a degree in Medical Technology, moved to Chicago. While employed at Wesley Memorial Hospital, she met her future husband, R.B. He was attending Northwestern University from which he received a Masters Degree in Hospital Administration. After their marriage in 1948, they moved to California, then on to Texas, Iowa and New Jersey, where R. B. was administrator of a large medical center. After his death in 1979, Lynn was Technical Director of the Central Jersey Blood Center until she retired in 1988 and moved back to Oshkosh. For most of her life, Lynn sang in church choirs, and participated in other church ministries. Most recently she was a member of First Congregational Church. She volunteered at the Ecumenical Food Pantry and the Paine Art Center and Gardens; she also served on the Evergreen Retirement Community Board of Directors. She became a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood in 1964 and was most recently involved in Chapter AG, Oshkosh. She loved to travel and had many hobbies, including gardening, flower arranging, swimming, bicycling, golf and bridge. Music had been a vital part of her life since early childhood piano lessons. She enjoyed attending the Oshkosh Symphony Concerts and listening to classical music at home. She is survived by her daughters Pamela F. (Frank) Apisa of Milano, Italy; Kay F. (Bob Hardy) Irelan of Iowa City, Iowa; Gail F. (Mike) Porto of Tipp City, Ohio and Anne F. (Rob) Stephan of Fairfield, Connecticut; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren and sister-in-law Norma J. Fulcher of Toluca Lake, California. She was preceded in death by her husband R.B. Fulcher and her brother Robert E. Brismaster.Funeral Service for Lynn will take place at 11:00 am at First congregational Church, 137 Algoma Blvd, with Rev. Carol DiBiasio-Snyder officiating. Friends and family may visit at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Private interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery.In place of flowers, please make donations to P.E.O. Foundation for scholarships for young women in honor of Lynn Fulcher.
