Lynn Hemminghaus And Mike Nelson

Lynn M. Hemminghaus, age 66, passed away on March 16, 2023. She was born to the late Raymond and Marion (Barthels) Hemminghaus on July 8, 1956, in Oshkosh, WI.

After graduating from Oshkosh West High School Lynn worked at Marcus Theater in ticket sales. Then she worked in the accounting department at Oshkosh National Bank.

She enjoyed crafting, camping, and traveling. She and her fiancé Mike Nelson traveled to Florida, Jamaica, and Las Vegas. She also cherished the time she spent with her nephews Luke and Paul Hemminghaus.

Lynn was the queen of bargain shopping on the internet. She found many great buys at bargain prices. She enjoyed collecting and displaying her vast blown glass figurine collection.

She enjoyed going to lunch with her care givers every week and she loved her dogs that she had throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, Lynn was preceded in death by her brothers Robert and Steven Hemminghaus.

Lynn is survived by her sisters-in-law Gudrun and Betsy Hemminghaus; nephews, Luke, Paul (Keara Dunn) Hemminghaus, cousins Glen (Julie ) Barthels, Jane (Ben) Hughes, LeAnn Donaldson, LaRae Bradley and other cousins.

In her last selfless act on earth, Lynn gave the gift of life through organ donation.


Michael R. Nelson passed away March 25, 2023. He was born to the late Robert and Nancy (Douthitt) Nelson on July 10, 1959 on an army base in England. Due to his father being in the military, the family lived in various parts of the world.

Mike graduated from Oshkosh West High School. He worked for Warner Cable and then for Tony’s Auto Body.

He and his fiancé Lynn were together for 35 years. They enjoyed camping and traveling. Mike was a devoted caregiver to Lynn and cared for her for all the years they were together.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his sister Susan Nelson, his aunts Carol Crahen, and other aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank the numerous caregivers Lynn has had throughout the years. She enjoyed spending time with all of them. A special thanks to Paula Brown and Nancy Valdez for their dedicated service and friendship.

Funeral services for Lynn and Mike will be held on April 21st at Konrad-Behlman funeral home at 100 Lake Pointe Dr. in Oshkosh with visitation from 2-4PM and service to follow officiated by the Rev. Kevin Mundell.
