Mae Gloria Anna Abraham (Gloria), age 100, passed away on Thursday September 27, 2018, at Parkview Health Center. She was born on May 9, 1918, in Oshkosh a daughter of Ben and Clara Baier Golz. On May 12, 1951, she married Elmer Abraham; and he preceded her in death in October 1986.
She was a member of First English Lutheran Church. She was involved in Homemakers Club, Advocap, a peer counselor, quilter at church, funeral luncheon committee, Neighborhood Center, and Green Meadow School Formation committee. Her hobbies included tatting, knitting, sewing, braided rugs, and gardening. She enjoyed reading, especially poetry.
She is survived by her children Gloria (Jim) Johnson Davies, Fred (Carolyn) Johnson, Ellie (Ben West) Abraham, Rob (Ruth) Abraham, Art (Darlene) Abraham, Charlotte (Jeff) Gates, 19 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Ellen Holz, many nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one grandchild Frederick Johnson II, two great-grandchildren Aletheia Gates, Talitha Gates, and two sisters, Marian Harra, Pauline Fithen.
Funeral services for Gloria will be held on Monday October 1, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Homes-Westside with Rev. Tim Greenwald officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Ellenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Mission Sewing group at First English Lutheran Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Parkview Health Center for all the care of Gloria for the last seven years of her life.
