Majel Y. Hartman, 88, of Oshkosh died Tuesday September 30, 2008 at Park View Health Center. Majel was born August 29, 1920 in Oshkosh a daughter of the late Alex Sr. and Hazel Schmidt Kimball. She married Frederick Hartman in June 1955 in Oshkosh. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1977. Majel was a member of Algoma Blvd. United Methodist Church, where she was active in several different activities. She enjoyed collecting stamps. Majel is survived by two daughters Susan (David) Olstad of Brandon and Pamela (Paul) Helf of Oshkosh; five granddaughters, Mackenzie Helf, Danica Helf, Olivia Helf all of Oshkosh, Tifanni (Chris) Nyseth of Queen Creek, AZ, and Jennifer (Adam) Wall of Minneapolis, MN; a great-grandson Gavin David Nyseth; a sister Marilyn (Ken) Pufahl of Truth or Consequences, NM;; and sisters-in-law and other relatives. She was preceded in death by a sister Jeanette Larget and six brothers Alex Jr., Richard, John, Eugene, Gerald, and Phillip Kimball. A funeral service for Majel will be held Friday October 3, 2008 at noon at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Eastside (402 Waugoo Ave.), Rev. Barry Yarbro officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the service time. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association or the Susan G. Komen for the Cure (Breast Cancer). Majels family would like to thank all of her neighbors (when she lived at home) and the staff at Park View Health Center for their help and care.
