Marcella Barbara Gengler

Marcella B. Gengler, 94, of Oshkosh, died at Eden Meadows of Oshkosh on Sunday, June 26, 2011. She was born on May 28, 1917 in Milwaukee the daughter of Henry and Aurelia Gundrum Adler. Marcella married William Gengler in 1943 in Milwaukee. William preceded her in death on August 8, 1962. Marcella lived a life of simple abundance. She was devoted to her religion; she was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church and the St. Raphael Prayer Chain. She dedicated her whole life to her family; that was her total joy.Survivors include her son, Paul Gengler of Minneapolis, MN; daughters, Joan (Tom) Weber of Oshkosh, Mimi (Doug) Lilly of Brattleboro, VT, Cathie Kate (Dave) Cooper of Minneapolis, MN; fourteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Joe, Roman, and Norbie Adler; and sister, Lucille Clemens.A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church (830 S. Westhaven Dr.) on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Doug LeCaptain officiating. Family and friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The Gengler family would like to thank the Eden Meadows Green House West staff for the excellent care she received. In Lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Bethel Foundation of Oshkosh for Eden Meadows (225 N. Eagle St.)
