Marcella "Marcie" H. (Ostrenga) Majewski

Marcella “Marcie” H. (Ostrenga) Majewski, 95, of Pickett/Oshkosh passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Evergreen Retirement Community of Oshkosh. Marcie was born on January 9, 1924 in Milwaukee to the late Ignatz and Johanna (Paprocki) Ostrenga. She married John V. Majewski on September 7, 1946, who preceded her in death.
She was an active member of the George Washington Post #2, Last Women’s Club where she held several offices. She was also a member of St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church of Oshkosh, WI, Widows and Women’s Club, St. Mary’s of Hales Corners, WI, Alter and Rosary Society and a member of Milwaukeettes of WWII hostess club, morning breakfast club. Marcie was a manager and buyer for Schuster’s Department Store and inspector at Globe Battery in Milwaukee during WWII.
Marcie is survived by her two sons, John (Diane) Majewski of San Angelo, TX and Thomas (Debra) Majewski of East Peoria, IL; her daughter: Gail Kedzierski of Pickett, WI; grandchildren: Christopher, Andrea, Danielle, Tiffany, Ashley and Noah; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister: Rose Mary Wright.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Gloria (Frank) Cherwin; and her brother: John (Arlene) Ostrenga.
A visitation will be held at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm. Visitation will resume at 9:00 am on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, 830 S Westhaven Dr. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation on Saturday at 11:00 am with Fr. Matthew Rappl officiating. Entombment will take place at Lake View Memorial Park at a later date.
Marcie’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Evergreen, especially Creekview South, Household 7 for the loving care that was given to Marcie and her family the past several years. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
