Marcia L. Kranz

Marcia Kranz, age 77, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2023 at the Parkview Health Center in Oshkosh. She was born on November 14, 1945 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin to Ruth and Norman Zemke. She married her longtime love and soulmate Wayne Kranz on June 27, 1964. Her heart was broken when her husband Wayne preceded her in death in 2015. They enjoyed 51 years of marriage.

Marcia was a lover of Elvis Presley music, theme parks, the Packers, Raggedy Ann, square dancing, rock gardens, rose bushes, Shamrock Shakes and copper decor. Along with raising her children she loved her pets such as a very large and hairy Great Pyrenees dog named Lisa as well as many cats. Throughout her life, her home was the focal point for many family events year-round. She was the happiest when laughing with the many members of her extended family.

Marcia had many work experiences including Mister Donut and Hobby Lobby. The gig at the hobby store kept her flush with painting supplies for her many art projects. She finished her work life at the Camelot Court apartment complex where she served as manager.

She had a deep Christian faith. She was involved with various church ministries and spent much time in her later years in prayer and reading the Bible.

Marcia is survived by her sister Cathey Kowalski (Tony) of Plymouth, WI; brother Brad Sonntag (Stephanie) of Glenwood City, WI; her children Jeff Kranz, Michele Klitzke, and James Kranz (Barb) all of Oshkosh, WI; grandchildren Ashley, Corey, Lily, Hailey and Abigayle: great grand children Savannah, Everly and Lakeland; cousins, nieces, and nephews; and dear friends Cheryl and Randy Dittmer. A very special thank you to Jeanne Colombana, June Fischer Rojahn and Stephanie Whitaker for all of the love and extra support offered to Marcia over the years. She was preceded in death by her mother Ruth, husband Wayne, brothers Phil and Mike, and beloved Aunt June and Uncle Fred Schnell.

A memorial service for Marcia will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home-Westside, 100 Lake Pointe Dr. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
