Margaret Kimber

Margaret Margee Kimber, 92, of Oshkosh, died on Friday, August, 19, 2011 at Oakwood Manor. She was born on February, 13, 1919 in Portland Oregon the daughter of Walter and Mary Davis Mathis. She married Budd Palfrey on July 27, 1940 in Oshkosh. Budd preceded her in death on January 21, 1959. Margaret married Gerald Kimber on August 26, 1961 in Neenah. Gerald preceded her in death on July 28, 1999.Margee was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, and the Order of the Eastern Star. She worked at Miles Kimball Co. for thirty years retiring as supervisor in the special order department. She was a volunteer at Mercy Medical Center where she knit beanies for the babies. Margaret enjoyed bowling, knitting watching birds and watching her television stories.Survivors include her daughter, Pam (David) Monson, of Oshkosh; granddaughter, Shawnie Rae Monson of Oshkosh, sister-in-law, Louise Mathis of Wheaton, IL; four nephews and two nieces.She was preceded in death by her husbands, Budd and Gerald; her parents; and one brother, David Mathis.The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August, 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Konrad-Behlman Funeral Home (Eastside) with the Rev. Rick Hopkins officiating. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. A memorial to Hartland Hospice has been established. The family would also like to thank the staff at Oakwood Manor & Heartland Hospice for their care of Margaret.
