Margie Kathryn Suenkel

Margie K. Suenkel, 90, of Oshkosh, died October 17, 2014, at Bethel Home. She was born in Oshkosh on September 3, 1924, a daughter of Joseph and Nora (McCarthy) Suenkel. Margie graduated from Mercy School of Nursing before going on to receive her Bachelors degree from Marquette University. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Mercy Medical Center for 46 years and was in the Army Nurses Corp. serving in the Korean Conflict.Margie is survived by a sister Joan (Eugene) Mueller of Oshkosh; a sister-in-law, Joan Suenkel of Oshkosh and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, William (Jessie) Suenkel, Thomas Suenkel, and John (Mae) Suenkel.A funeral service for Margie is being held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at St. Jude the Apostle Parish, St. Vincent Church, Rev. Bill Van De Kreeke officiating. Visitation will be held at the church Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in Lake View Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established to the Mercy Medical Center Foundation.Margies family wishes to thank the staff at Bethel Home and Heartland Hospice for all the wonderful care and concern given.
