Marian E Gunderson

Marian E. Gunderson, 94, of Oshkosh, formerly of Osseo, died Wednesday February 14, 2007 at Alterra Sterling House. She was born July 24, 1912 in rural Eau Claire County, a daughter of John and Anna Lantz. Marian married Sigvald Gunderson on October 24, 1945 in Eau Claire. He preceded her in death in October 1978.She spent most of her life on a dairy farm near Osseo, Wisconsin. Marian moved to Oshkosh twelve years ago and was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Oshkosh.She is survived by a son, Ralph (Dena) Gunderson of Oshkosh, daughter, Hazel (Greg) Griffin of West Bend, four grand children, Courtney Gunderson of Bozeman Montana, Eric and Patricia Gunderson both of Oshkosh, and Pierce Griffin of West Bend; she is also survived by 11 nieces and six nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, and six sisters.A memorial service for Marian is pending.Marians family would like to express their deep appreciation for the loving care she received from many staff members at Aurora Hospice Association and Alterra Sterling House. Also, the many kindnesses shown by her friends in Oshkosh will always be remembered.
