Marian Elizabeth Spars

Marian Spars, 79, of Oshkosh, formerly of Beaver Dam, died peacefully at Bethel Home on August 13, 2006, and is now with her father in heaven. Marian dedicated her life to her faith and her family. She was born in Woodland, WI, on September 19, 1926, a daughter of Harold and Linda Schindlehauer Huck. Marian married Orville C. Spars on September 26, 1953 in Beaver Dam. Orville preceded her in death on August 10, 2006.Marian was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam. She was a member of various church organizations and volunteered for Meals On Wheels. She was a caregiver to family members and neighbors.Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Steven) Schmudlach, of Oshkosh; Donna (Gerald Burdick) Spars, of Milwaukee; two grandchildren, Jason Schmudlach, of Appleton; Kristin Schmudlach, of Fond du Lac; three step-grandchildren, Nathan Burdick, of East Troy; Daniel and Benjamin Burdick, both of Milwaukee; one brother, Elton (Dorene) Huck, of Fox Lake; one sister, Dolores Huebner, of Milwaukee and a brother-in-law, Hugo Bortz, of Beaver Dam. Marian was preceded in death by an infant brother, Victor Huck; an infant sister; a brother-in-law, Rev. Philip Huebner; and a sister-in-law, Viola Bortz. Funeral services for Marian and her husband Orville will be held at St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on Thursday August 17, 2006 at Noon. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 11:00 AM to the time of services. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam. In lieu of flowers, a memorial to St. Stephens Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam has been established.
